Anyway, I think this is a great musical, and I just want to share it with you! This musical is about the story of Joseph from the Old Testament. My goal is to put all the songs here, and introduce them to you. But since I’m now in my midterm week, I’ll do this later.

History:
In the summer of 1967, Andrew Lloyd Webber was asked by Alan Doggett, head of the Music department at his brother's school, to write a 'pop cantata' for the school choir to sing at their Easter concert. Andrew asked Tim Rice if he would write the lyrics and Tim suggested the story of Joseph. The very first performance of 'Joseph...' was only 20 minutes long and took place
on the 1st March 1968 at the Old Assembly Hall in Hammersmith. It was a big success and several other performances were arranged, including one at St Paul 's Cathedral which was recorded and released as an album in 1969. Andrew and Tim worked on other projects including 'Jesus Christ Superstar' whilst the popularity of 'Joseph' built in schools in the UK and in America. In September 1972 Gary Bond starred as Joseph in a production at the Edinburgh Festival, and the show had its first major production in its present from at the Haymarket Theatre in Leicester in 1975. 'Joseph' opened on Broadway at the Royale Theatre in January 1982, and in 1991, opened at the London Palladium starring Jason Donovan. This version of the show ran for 2 and a half years and was seen by over 2 million people. It went on to tour the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia. In 1999 the production was filmed with an all star cast including Donny Osmond, Joan Collins and Richard Attenborough. Today there are nearly 500 school or amateur productions of 'Joseph' each year in the UK alone. It is estimated that the show has been performed in nearly 20,000 schools or local theatres with an audience of over 9 million people.

Concerning the show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, is all its music from Andrew Lloyd Webber, and its lyrics Tim Rice?
I saw Josh Groban on Let's talk in English this month. He is a classical singer. Haha...
